CONSTRUCTION IN THE WORKSHOP

In July 2025 I participated in the UniSA Design and Construct program, where I worked collaboratively with a small team to develop and complete the interior joinery for an office pod.
During this course I learnt to use a range of new tools, building my confidence to work with them independently. Most importantly, the program deepened my understanding of how things come together physically, which I documented throughout in my sketchbook. The sketchbook became a chronological diary of my learning, observations, and problem solving.
By the end of the course I felt genuinely more confident, and I have been able to take these lessons into my architectural studies, especially when resolving details and considering the small things that are often overlooked.
